Alpha School
An AI-forward school model, with evidence that needs careful reading.
This describes a private-school operating model. It is separate from government policy and is not included in the atlas’s jurisdiction or policy comparison count.
OPERATOR-DESCRIBED MODEL
Adaptive academics, human Guides
Alpha describes roughly two hours of adaptive academics, followed by life-skills workshops. Its human Guides focus on motivation, relationships and coaching. This documents the operator’s intended model; it does not establish effectiveness.

FOOTPRINT & TOOLS
Campus-specific details matter
The operator lists campuses with different grade spans. Check the individual campus rather than infer ages or assume a listed location is already operating. Its materials name TimeBack; a complete, stable campus-by-campus application inventory remains unresolved.

What the privacy policy actually says
The 2 Hour Learning policy covers affiliated entities including Alpha. It describes test data, recordings, screen and keyboard/mouse activity, possible biometrics, and additional data collection. Its geolocation paragraph specifically names tracking at two Austin addresses: 1201 Spyglass Drive and 201 Colorado Street.
That is more specific than treating location tracking as merely hypothetical everywhere. It still does not prove every listed method is active at every campus. The policy describes opt-out options and warns that other nearby devices may still record a student.

Operator publication containing AI-generated analysis. Alpha’s February 17, 2026 article says its principal supplied fall 2025–winter 2026 MAP data to Gemini and Claude. The article reproduces their analyses. An external test instrument does not turn that publication into an independent evaluation.
The article makes exceptional percentile, growth and comparison claims. This atlas does not validate those calculations, extrapolations or causal interpretations. It has not established an independently audited dataset or controlled evaluation that separates the model’s contribution from prior attainment, selection, family background or attrition.

- Which tools and collection methods operate at each campus, and what meaningful alternatives are available?
- How are academic difficulty, disability accommodations, safeguarding and escalation handled in practice?
- What do independently audited results show about learning, wellbeing, retention and longer-term outcomes?
- Which students are included in reported results, and how are missing data and departures handled?
These are evidence gaps, not findings of harm or ineffectiveness. Human review of this case study has not been claimed.
